At our facility, the safety and comfort of all dogs in our care is our top priority. To help maintain a healthy, harmonious environment, we have the following policy regarding spayed and neutered pets (It is highly preferred and recommended all dogs be neutered/spayed by the time they are a year old):
Females in Heat: We do not accept female dogs who are in heat. Additionally, we recommend that females avoid daycare for several days before and after their heat cycle to prevent stress and disruption to the group.
Intact Males: Attendance for intact males is determined on a behavior, not balls basis. As long as an intact male displays appropriate social behavior—no excessive humping, marking, or territorial aggression—they are welcome to attend daycare. However, if behavior issues become persistent or disruptive, we will require the dog to be neutered in order to continue participation.
